Wanted: 1937-39 mopar OD transmission

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a 1937-39 Mopar overdrive, or more specifically T86A-transmission with R6 overdrive preferably from a 1939 DeSoto or 1939 Chrysler C22 Royal with the electric overdrive. I will however consider any other non-fluid drive overdrive 3-speed with top cover the the originally bolted to a 6-cyl Chrysler, D DeSoto or Plymouth.

We would like to add overdrive to a 1938 Dodge D10 so we can cruise with today's traffic.

This is a 39 OD trans. Someone had this in a 33-34 with the shifter plate that is on the trans.

Plyroadking,

Do you still hane a overdrive transmision that would fit a 37 dodge coupe?

I am rebuilding to original, but would like to have the overdrive to cruise without the high rpms,

Thanks for your time

looks like about a 7 hour drive. that would make for a good trip on a weekend.

I’m heading to Oxford KS in the next month if that’s closer for you?

Plyroadking

i am still interested in the transmission, and oxford Kansas would work fine.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I was derailed by a scammer on this website acting like he was you.

I will report this to the website moderator so maybe others will not get scammed.

Do you happen to know the model number of the overdrive, and do you mind sending a picture.

How much are you asking?

thank you

Seeing as I am still actively searching for a transmission myself with this wanted ad, it probably would have been more appropriate for you to start your own topic on this, or just deal through private messages.

Thanks.

That transmission won't work with a 6-cylinder car, unfortunately. but i might have to see if i need it for my 1938 Chrysler coupe.
