Guest GLine64Riv Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I am in Australia and have a '64 Riviera. My dilemma is that my centre console has damage to the frame, in particular at the top where it goes under the dash and has two u-shaped "lugs" which slide around 2 bolts to hold the top of the console frame in under the dash. As is common apparently these lugs are often broken when trying to remove the console. This has happened with mine plus some other damage to the plastic corners at the leading edge where the frame meets the dash. In trying to chase up anyone in Aus that might be wrecking a Series 1 Riv, there is some contention about whether the console frame in Series 1 Rivs differed across '63 to '65 or if it was identical each year. Can anyone help clarify if the console frame was the same across all 3 years or if at least the '64 was the same as either '63 or '65?
