Derek Feagin Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) I have two cabs and a part of a model A that I want to post on eBay but I am not sure what the years of any of this stuff is. Can anyone help me identify them? Thanks! Derek Edited June 11, 2017 by Derek Feagin (see edit history)
keiser31 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) The first 5 and the last 3 photos are of a 1930-31 Model A. The two photos of the cowl with the chrome/stainless cowl lamps looks to be 1930 Chevrolet. Edited June 11, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history) 1
1937hd45 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) Yes, 30-31 Ford Roadster, 30-31 Ford Closed car Cowl, and the Chevy cowl. The open drive Ford V8 rear is an item in demand. Bob Edited June 11, 2017 by 1937hd45 (see edit history) 2
Dave Mellor NJ Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 The roadster has the dash area for the oval speedometer which was carried over from 29 so this is actually an early 30. The new dash with the round speedo came out sometime in the middle of the year, Before the deluxe roadster and the new style pickup. You'll get a lot of argument but if you restore that as a DeLuxe it's wrong unless you change the gas tank. 2
Derek Feagin Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 Is this the one that is the Ford closed cowl?
jpage Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 What you have is a collection of well used and rusted parts. The cowlings look like they may be reuseable but none of those parts are going to bring high dollars. 1

The Roadster body should bring around $800-$1,000 on eBay depending on were you live, hope the doors are in there some were, a Hot Rod builder will buy it restorers will walk. Hot Rod builders money spends just the same. Bob
Dave Henderson Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 The body door pillar that the rear of the door meets at its top when closed is another confirmation that the Model A roadster body is a '30. That area changed to a different configuration in November '30.
1937hd45 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Why someone, ok, two guys placed the rear end on top of the body is anyone's guess. It is from a 46-48 Ford Pickup that had parallel springs, the open drive center section makes it of interest to Hot Rod builders. Bob
JWLawrence Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Missing body parts from the 30-31 Model A roadster can be had from Brookville. They make reproduction steel body parts to OEM specs. JWL

True, but to the talented ones of the Hamb forum, the body parts wiil become useful cars yet again. 1
Steve_Mack_CT Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Roadster body definitely looks salvadge-able and hopefully someone does, could be a nice base for a traditional hot rod. Authentic doors on fordbarn right now...
