TwinCamFan
I do just about everything on my collection of TC's save for paint/body/AC work. You want the AC to work? Take it to a qualified shop that has a good Yelp rating. Maybe ask your kids to check that last part for ya
Reaper1
Which engine is in your TC? That will kind of set the tone for how the rest of whatever needs to be done might go.

Hemi Dude
Either should blow just as COLD, they just have very different compressors. What do you see in the sight-glass when it is running through a complete 'compressor engaged to compressor disengaged' cycle? Give us the entire scoop, clear, bubbles, foam appearance in the sight-glass.
Reaper1
Agreed, both systems should work equally as well (8V SOHC or 16V DOHC). As Hemi mentioned, and why I asked, the compressor and the lines are completely different between the two engines, however. That's why I said that it kinda "sets the tone" of how to go about this. I'm going to have to get new lines made for my 16V conversion. I luckily have the stock ones, but being as old as they are I don't trust them to work too well with R134a. The lines for the 16V car, to the best of my knowledge, are NLA and even if they were available, are still going to be old.
ghostymosty
If the a/c is fully charged and cold line under the hood you might just have a heater door stuck open or leaking hot air in the box under the dash.
Moparite
You really need to do some reading on the ac systems on older cars. Back then R12(refrigerant) was used, It's no longer produced and what's out there is $$$. Best bet is to convert it to R134. Hard to offer help with vague info. There are a lot of things that can cause the ac not to produce cold air.
