Dosmo Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) Two cars to ID - all responses appreciated Edited August 21, 2018 by Dosmo (see edit history)
Grandpa Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The coupe looks like a circa 1929 Chrysler smaller series, like a 75.
Grandpa Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The sedan could be a circa 1928 Hudson with a non-original front bumper.
keiser31 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The Chrysler coupe is not a '75' due to the no side cowl vents and that style radiator shell. Looks more like a late 1929 Model 65 with the smooth bumpers and curved top on the hood louvers.
nzcarnerd Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The coupe has no cowl lights so more likely a Plymouth? The pic is our one.
keiser31 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) Yep....1929 Plymouth. The "no cowl lights" as nzcarnerd says plus those chrome bowl headlamp buckets are the keys. Edited June 5, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)

It is still not a positive year of this Plymouth.... Correct me if I am wrong on this: The differences of the exterior of a 28 Q versus 29 U is: Smaller wood wheel hubcap on Q, This car has a 29 up front and what might be a Q on rear, but it could be just a different car cap added with same threads? .. also the Q has the word Chrysler as well as Plymouth on radiator emblem, but no "Chrysler" on 29U emblem. Right this moment I cannot think of anything else on a wood wheel Ply....but i'd like to say that this coupe appears to be the somewhat rarer soft top/backside roof?. rather than "all metal back" coupe roof? cool pic for an old Mopar guy like me
Grandpa Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 1928 Hudson pictures attached. The ID of the sedan in background.
keiser31 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I'm thinking the car in the background is a 1929 Lincoln.
DLynskey Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 With suictde doors front and rear I go with Hudson. Don
Grandpa Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 The 1928 Hudson sedan has a non-original front bumper. Also, the Hudson sedan seems to have landau irons, which may not be original equipment.

You are probably correct, although, some Lincolns of the era had suicide doors.....an example.... Edited June 5, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)
