These bike are cool looking but that's where it ends. They are Eastern European reverse engineered copies of the BMW R-71. Completely inferior pot metal parts prone to failure and breakdowns abound. I was shopping for a '30's/'40's era R-75 a while back and discovered the Dneper. I asked a friend from Eastern Europe who lives here in California about them and he howled with laughter. Shortly after I had the chance to view one first hand here in Palm Springs. A local business owner had bought one and had it parked in front of his biz. I stopped in  to ask him about it and he said it was a good draw to get people to stop by. But that's all it was. It was such a p.o.s. that it wouldn't run, so it just made a nice static display.

The bike pictured is probably from the '70's.
