Brad Conley Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 (edited) That would actually be an A-body 1970 California emission (49 state was different), 1971-1972 all A-body, windshield washer bottle. Overflow was on the passenger side of the car, this is mounted on the driver's side. Edited May 27, 2017 by Brad Conley (see edit history) 1
Vernongsx671 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Is this over flow still for sale. If so I'd like to buy it. Thanks
Brad Conley Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 It's not an overflow but rather the windshield washer fluid reservoir as I stated above. 1970 California emission and all 1971-72 Buick A-Body. It will not work as a radiator overflow reservoir.

When I bought my 64 Riviera, it had (and still has, 40 years later) one of these (or something that looks an awful lot like it) attached to the drivers inner fender and used as an overflow reservoir.
Brad Conley Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 I am positive of this. I judge these cars in concours level shows. The one in your car may have been modified to work but they were used as I stated above by the factory.
KongaMan Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 That could be; I didn't say it was original or used for the intended purpose. However, if one is looking for an add-on overflow reservoir that doesn't look out of place on a 45-50-year-old car, this may a viable option. I don't see any obvious reason that it wouldn't work. As for mine: I leave it because I'm too lazy to take it off. I can't remember if the car has ever boiled over in all the years I've had it.
Vernongsx671 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Thanks, I am buying it for a car buddy. It turns out he needs both.
