Guest zjokka Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Hi all, I am writing a biographical study of a Belgian priest and pseudo scientist Paul BOUTS. He also claims to have a number of inventions in his name, notably the invention of the automatic transmission. In a 70's interview, he claims American business men came to see him to buy the patent he was holding on automatic transmissions. He also claimed that he was offered the choice between 65.000 Belgian francs in cash or a car. He chose the car. There is no trace of a technical eduction in this guys background, so at first, I thought it was just fiction. In the interview, he has to consult his secretary to remember the brand of car. It was a Hudson. After searching through old newspapers from the 30s, it became clear that Hudson cars were being sold in Europe and also in Belgium. So here is a picture that I found of his little hut, with a big car in front... it may be a 50s Hudson Hornet, but I'm confused by the double silver lining. I don't see this on any Hudson pictures on the web. This must be a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe, right?
TerryB Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 It is a Pontiac and not a Hudson. 1953 seems like the correct year.
