Ozstatman
Know a little of the history of this Packard. When found by the present owner it had been "uted" ie the rear part of the body had been removed and it was used as farm vehicle/truck. The new owner wasn't able to locate another body and with measurements from another '22 Packard tourer the owner put to use his woodworking talents. He did this by building everything from the cowl back in wood, including a wooden roof(see pic below). Not to everyone's taste but he did the best he could with what he had and his skills and talent. Now if you'd like a very original '22 Packard 1st Series Six Tourer, which would a suitable HPOF candidate, see this one in the link. Think it's priced about AUD $50/55K. http://prestigeclassiccars.com.au/index.php/classic-cars-for-sale Scroll down past 4 Morris's to the Packard! Note: Presently the Aussie Dollar(aka the Pacific Peso) is worth about 3/4 of the US Dollar..
hidden_hunter
Not disputing the quality of workmanship more just curious about it. I always thought the dash was more fancy on packards of this era
auburnseeker
This 1934 Daimler further down the page looks quite interesting. I have no idea of the quality of these but the coach built body has nice proportions and the price seems reasonable especially given the exchange rate.
