SpecialEducation
Watching the hood closing process on a '55 makes me glad my grandpa waited another year before buying his Buick...

Bhigdog
I have yet to see any two 55 hoods fit alike. I haven't heard of a hood dropping though. A pair of new to you springs might help..................Bob

Bhigdog
55 hoods take a certain technique to open and close. When opening pull the hood sharply towards you as you raise it. With practice you will find the sweet spot. Reverse to close. Are you sure your hinges aren't boogered up from guys trying to force the hood open?..................Bob

As they say "That's just the nature of the beast". Much like shitty brakes, interesting cornering ability, lane wandering bias ply tires, wipers that stop wiping when you most need them, etc etc etc. Love it for what it is....................Bob
