keiser31
On my way to get something to eat, I saw this behind me. Could only get this shot as I turned off....looks to be a 1931-32 Chrysler or Dodge Brothers Vicky/5 passenger coupe....it also looks like a modern V8 in there....quite a rare beast, especially in this rural area. I'm not up on the larger Chryslers at all. as you know, I don't shun every rod...but if those are outside "fenderwell" headers, it means it was once going to be a fenderless ratrod. I wonder if the new? owner could get the fenders somewhere. Looks awful without them. Not a good car style to rod at all. IMO
keiser31
The factory photo of the '31 Chrysler Deluxe 8....
1937hd45
That sure would look better with twin spare tires on the back, side mounts on that body just don't look good to me. Bob
Guest
I never thought of that, 1937hd45 you are right.
vintchry
There was one for sale on the forum a few years ago, I bought it and is in a current state of restoration. Chassis is done and body is ready for paint. One of 250 built according to a couple of Chrysler books. And yes I am putting on twin rear mounted spares, glad some one else thinks along the same lines. Hope to finish it up in a year to year and a half. If the radiator shell is correct that must be a Dodge, very unusual and IMO a very good looking automobile. Rob

It must be super rare as a Dodge version. .

But it seems like only a handful of guys our age even care about these old early 30s closed cars anymore.. I just looked in the mirror, and yes, I'm old now, and I must also be a dinosaur.. JACK M
That is exactly the kind of finds I like to take on. Already hacked up so an only partially used canvass.
vintchry
Yes John, it was the maroon one. I am going Ravenswood Brown and Imperial Champaign Tan with a Bronze stripe, bedford cord interior. Lots done, it is just not in a place to photograph or I would try to add photos. Rob
