Then maybe it should have been a LIMITED instead of a LeSabre? Now, if the whole thing folded down and closed up like a true "Rumble Seat", that would be really cool - Redefines the mis-use of the term "Land Yacht", used waaaay to often by the Barrett-Jackson Auction "Know-It-Alls"

My Wife had it made as a Christmas gift in 1988, the year I had the garage built. "Herbie's Marina" Ask me about it if you ever see me. The story starts in 1960, gets updated in an incident with a 1968 Electra convertible in 1972, and lingers today.

Let the owner see what a top notch Buick looks like.Maybe inspire him/her to restore this old girl. There you have it as promised. I was coming back from a car show about 3 miles from the Bar, I decided to take a quick picture. I parked for couple of minutes in by the Bar parking lot entrance (plenty of room) and boy, one of the patrons immediately got up and gave me a piece of his mind. I pleaded my case that all I wanted was just couple of minutes to take a picture but he did not like the answer and turn around and went inside the establishment. looks like he was a regular. I went across the street to snap the picture and when I came back the old man had company. The other guy started to give me his mind about parking by the entrance, told him that I was done and leaving. When I asked if he was the owner of the Bar and the car, he started yelling that the car was not for sale.....Go figure! As I was leaving, he turned around and told me that my car was nice but he could not make what make it was...............think they had a few already. Anyways still trying to figure out what transpired there. 2

The normal LeSabre would have had the Pontiac 301 engine. This one has the Buick 350 and the unbroken 1979 grill is like unpolished gold. Not many want it, but those who do realize it's value.

Takes you back to some good time if you lived in this era. Scallops, side pipes, wide whites, Lancers. Skirts, dual rear mount antennas, custom grill, shaved handles. SWEET. Peggy Sue would be all over you just to give her a ride in it. You'd probably not like the interior either if you could see it. Probably red or white roll and pleat with contrasting piping. 6
