Guest Posted February 10, 2002 Share Posted February 10, 2002 I'm from the buick side of the track and would like to know what ratios of the 9 & 3/8 rear which were offered in the Olds camp were. I'm told that there are a lot of similarities in these parts butI can not find part numbers to crossoover with nor anyone who seems to really know what is fact. Guest Posted February 10, 2002 Share Posted February 10, 2002 Guess I should have explained a little better. on a topic in the new v8buick website we were kicking around that the 9 and 3/8 ring and pinion is the same from 67 through 75 and that the diff itself is probably interchangable except that the side gears seem to have different depth in the spline after 70. and then some one kicked in a picture of a big OLDS custom wagon wearing a 9 and 3/8 rear with leaf springs and it just made me think that you guys over here should have some idea's Maybe even some other ratio's that were used in the olds???<BR>Where could this be checked out?
