Parts of the river Derwent in Cumbria (usually one of the wettest parts in England) have dried up completely. Spring Barley is withering because the rains that we are reliant on have failed. Well I know where all your rain is, Ray. Here! We are well past half our average annual rainfall already. We had 538 mm in March and just under 500 mm in April. Wet wet wet. I wish you well with your health, Ron. It is no fun when it deserts one.

Spinneyhill
That was a bit of bad luck. We have had a few well publicised cases of Legionaires disease resulting from working with compost. Some have died. All the best. These problems make us realise the fragility of life and we treasure it all the more. .
