What make

Everyone in my family that would have known what make this motorcycle is are deceased.  Anyone here with a calculated guess.  Photo take in 1938.

Dog looks like a collie shepherd mix. Bike looks like a circa 1913 Harley Davidson. Side car looks like it is missing a wheel? and Mother doesn't look happy.

Not a Harley - the forks are wrong. It is an Indian Powerplus from the late teens - date uncertain.  Note the forks and sidecar mounts on this one -

This overly restored one has the same type of gas reservoir and horn as the OP.

The previous two bikes are not dated but this one is dated 1916 and has the same style of chair body but has different mounting to the bike - one bar vs two. Note the OP does not have the tank top tool box. I think much of that stuff was optional.

Thank you so much.  I always thought it was interesting that my great-great Aunt who drove herself to town in her buggy until fall 1949 (the winter she died) and was so upright, prim and proper would have ridden in a sidecar.  Maybe everyone lets their hair down sometimes.

I think the bike in the original photo is of a 1916 going by the handlebars (has a cross bar, 17 doesn't). The third and forth photos are of a 1916 Powerplus --the first year of the Powerplus-- which was the last year of the tank between the frame tubes. The second photo is of a 1917 Powerplus and was the first year of the saddle tank. I can't really make out the tank to be sure. 1916 and 1917 have the external throttle and adv/ret controls (the little shafts with uni joints), that also appear to be on the bike in the first photo; in 1918 they done away with these.
