TXCR13
Does anyone know if the rear fenders from a '41 Champion sedan will interchange with the '46 coupe? Really having trouble getting the passenger side rear fender on my '46 Business Coupe to fit the body line. Not concerned about any holes for mud guard or trim. Just need it to bolt up and look the same. I have a '41 Champ fender, but it is a 6 hour round trip drive to get it and don't want to haul back a fender that doesn't fit. Thanks! Gary_Ash
I'd say your chances are better than good. The '41-'42 cars use the same part numbers for the rear fenders but they are different in '46. The gravel shield is different for 1946, so maybe the difference is only that. The encouraging bit is that the pre-formed fender welt is the same for 3G, 4G, and 4G cars and the fender braces are the same.
studeq
The rear fenders will interchange on all 1941-46 Champions. Just the misc. trim holes are different.
TXCR13
Thanks, gentlemen! Leaving now on the 6 hour drive to get it.
TXCR13
Just to confirm, the rear fenders do interchange between 1941-'42-'46 Champion cars. As noted earlier, here are some differences in holes for trim, but the configuration is the same between years.
