tartop
I am looking for some wheel retaining bolts and nuts for my 29 Pontiac. Picture attached of one. The threads on mine are pretty thin and I would like to replace them all if possible. Need 16 total but any at all would help. Thanks in advance! aussiecowboy
Very hard to find, the threads are all a bit thin after 80+ years. You can grind the thread off and cut a new thread one size smaller.
tartop
Thanks aussiecowboy. I will try that. I only have one that is totally stripped but all of them have thin threads. Have not had any luck finding any.
Guest
Style 3 are very hard to find. Style 1 and 2 can be used. You just have to tack weld them to the felloe so they don't turn. Buick's style 1 and 2 ones are much easier to find than Pontiac's type 3.
tartop
Thanks Reid for the Buick info. To get by for now I just used a hardened bolt that I modified a bit. It works but I would still like to keep everything as original as possible.
