gegrunt
The attached pictures are of a rocker panel that I sell for the 1951-54 Henry J cars. I have this panel made by an Amish sheetmetal shop who uses a die stamped panel made by Schofield back in the 1950's as a template. This rocker was made by Schofield without any lip on the bottom to attach it to the car like 95% of the other rocker panels that I sell. I am going to have another lot of panels made up and I was wondering if they would be easier to install on the car if I did add a small lip to the bottom of them? jimkf
Replacement rockers used by Kaiser-Frazer had a lip on them. I've attached a few pictures of an NOS replacement panel that shows the U shaped lip.
gegrunt
Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. I would never be able to duplicate that gutter section that is on the bottom of your panel. I have never had any complaints about the panels that I have sent to customers as shown in my pictures so I guess I will keep having them made the same way.
