DJKSETX
Working on a story. Can anyone ID the make model of these fuel tankers being shipped to Russia in 1932? You can answer here but best if you email djksetx@yahoo.com. Thanks. Who might have been brokering trucks to Russia in this era?
keninman
Based only on the radiator shell it looks a lot like a Stewart. Perhaps it was fitted with a cab built to Russian specs. Did Entyre outfit trucks or only build the distributors? Sorry but I am not going to reply by email. https://myntransportblog.com/2014/10/31/the-stewart-motor-corporation-of-buffalo-new-york-usa/ Edited August 10, 2017 by keninman (see edit history)
Spinneyhill
From http://american-automobiles.com/Etnyre.html, " Edward D. Etnyre designed and made products for use by others. These products were mainly farm equipment, horse-drawn water sprinkler, Street Flusher and the first Road Oiler. To do this he formed E. D. Etnyre & Co. in 1898. In 1908 Edward D. Etnyre formed The Etnyre Motor Car Co. then designed and built an American Automobile in Oregon, Illinois. " So this Etnyre tanker is a "road oiler", which I think means a hot bitumen sprayer for chip sealing roads.
