Mark Simmons
Ben, Sorry for the time lapse. No, the 364 still sits on a stand at my sons place awaiting tear down and rebuilding or a new home for the right $$'s. Right now a certain 401 has my attention. Man-oh-man this Buick disease is serious stuff but I'm not lookin fer a cure.
Leif Holmberg
The 364 pattern and later years are different ,will not fit 1956 and earlier year . Leif in Sweden.

The bolt pattern on the bell housing on the 264 - 322 is a larger diameter than that of the 364 - 401/425.
Mark Simmons
Thanks Leif and RivNut the info you gave is great. Saves frustration all around. That's just one of the things I like about this forum the willingness to share what we know.

It is not a crime to modify a Buick, YET! HA HA! Not supposed to is more accurate! I installed a 1956 Dyna in my 1955 Century, didn't fit! Now it does! Next will be to find out if the 1956 Dyna tailshaft will fit the 1957 up trans. Hmmm, wonder what it takes for front motor mount mods to fit 1955 Century with 364 or larger? Small, relatively, mods, then on to 364"-401" or even 425" install while keeping stock rear suspension! Sorry, couldn't resist. Please transfer to modified and let the beatings continue.
