36 Dodge coupe on CL

Pete in PA

Recommended Posts

I made the mistake of typing "36 Dodge" into Craigslist and got a direct hit, LOL.  Take a look.  Looks expensive to me based on condition but a coupe is certainly more desirable than my 4 door to most people.  The front end is really striking and inspiring to me.  It appears to be undamaged.  Looks like this car has been apart for a long time and stored for a long time.  Someone giving up on a dream?

Cant tell if it has any running gear.

I see an engine through the grille where there is no radiator. I also see a drive shaft and radiator (in another photo) and rear end....so it looks as if all of the drive train is there.

I guess I can see the balancer in there.

I had to look real hard to see the brake pedal as well.

One of those abandoned projects where the guy took it all apart and was overwhelmed.

I stand corrected on the body style.  Two door sedan it is...  Would a true coupe have a trunkless back and/or rumble seat?

Doesn't that front end look purty, though?  The center grill unbroken, the side grills presentable at least, the crank hole cover present, headlamps appear to be original, fit of the grill shell to the inner fenders (or whatever they're called) looks pretty good, and even the horn covers look pretty shiny!

The phone number is 814 for central PA but the CL ad says Reading.  Hell, Reading is an hour from me!  Must resist calling, must resist calling... Aaaargh!
