195354 Posted February 9, 2017 Share Posted February 9, 2017 I have a question about the Stainless Steel that Buick used on the sweep spear I need to weld up a few holes that someone drilled to hold them on, I need to plug weld these and plan on using SS 308 Tig rod, This works on most asthenic Stainless. I would like to know if anyone has used this filler rod, with no image of the repair showing when polished. If the base material and filler rod are far off in metallurgy, it could show when polished.
