Restoring my 65 rivi

Hey guys I'm confused,I never seen a riviera with side markers on the back quarter panel and on the front fender,

should I put it back the when I'm restoring it or cover it up I really don't know if it came from the factory like that or put there after 

is going to bring the value up

Those are not factory-installed.  When side markers were first federally required with the 1968 model year, people retrofitted them to older cars.  There were even aftermarket versions available.  Looks like these were taken off a newer Buford and installed here.
