Guest
Thanks Scott for the reminder...My trans guy said same thing...I believe it was the guard one!!!
This stuff is supposed to be slicker than snot and he(my tranny guy) also used it in building my 55 DF
As for trans fluid, read the can carefully to make sure you don't get the wrong type Dexron....very important as DF's are finicky from what I hear.
Good Luck,don55
Guest scott mich bca # 6619
My transmission specialists said to use Dexron II if available. If not Dexron III is ok.
He also recommends an additive called either "Lube Guard, or Lube Pro". It is an extra lubricant you add to the Dynaflow for extra protection, avialiale at the auto parts stores. There is more than 1 kind, so get the proper one.
Happy Dynaflow-ing!
Scott
Guest
Steve,
I've been dumping Dexron III into my '56 Dynaslow for at least 10 years. It works just great. My rear seal leaks, but what's new? I just clean the drip pan and pour in some new stuff. Cheaper than a rebuild!

------------------
Bob Leets
