After the sale, Sears will continue to sell the Craftsman brand for 15 years. Sadly, Sears' financial situation is such that it is doubtful that the store chain will stay in business that long. It should be interesting to see if Stanley/Back & Decker makes any changes to the Craftsman Tool warranty.
