Ron42Dodge
I'm trying to Identify this Stop Light Switch. Terminal connectors make me think late 50's through 60s. I've not seen one with a mounting plate like this.
lump
I have a Standard brand ignition and electrical products catalog with a section showing illustrations of lots of brake switches, mostly from the 1950's to mid 1970's. It does have some overlap on some parts back into the 1940's. Of course, most components shown are for domestic USA vehicles. There are no similar switches displayed there. I ASSUME it must be European or Asian.

Ron, YES, those numbers are from the group of years covered by my catalog. The SLS-31 fits only Renault, for models from LATE 1958 through 1962. I recently sold an SLS-29 on eBay, so I recall it fits older USA domestic vehicles. But I'll have to look that one up for you when I get home this evening. All I have with me here at work are some photocopies of pages, which I cut up so I could send along a photo with application data in packages with switches I had sold on eBay. The SLS-31 was still intact, but the SLS-29 was cut away...

Ron42Dodge
Great picture !!! May have helped ID another at the same time. I had a similar one with no box. Appears to be SLS-32. You got to wonder how many of these Renault's were actually in the States in the late 50s. Thank you so much.
