Dave Hutchison of Ragtops and Roadsters along with Pete Rohrbacher and the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia are putting together a single marque exhibit of ACs for the Simeone Museum's annual "Best of Britain" show. Thus far these shows have been an assortment of historic British sports or racing cars made up of various manufacturers products. For this year's show we are endeavoring to tell the story of AC Cars Ltd from its birth with the Three Wheel Box Delivery vehicle through the final model developed and produced at Thames Ditton the 3000ME. It is our objective to present a representative example of each major type produced by AC and display them in chronological order to illustrate the evolution of these very special vehicles.
We have been quite successful in reaching out to owners across the country and have examples from pre-WWI until the closing of Thames Ditton in the mid 1980's. We have not yet been successful in finding any Anzani engined examples from the 1920's and are hoping to find a few more cars to add to the show.  Ideally we would like to find a Sociable, a 12/24 Empire, a 12/24 Royal and a 12/40 Sports.  Maybe even a 16/40 Acedes and a 16/56 or 16/66 as well.  We have a few sponsors lined up, Sunoco being one.  A few more are in the stages of being confirmed.
The show will run from February 18th until March 12th and will include an opening reception for the participants on the 18th with several special guests who were involved in racing these cars post WWII.
If anyone knows of a car that might be able to participate would you please contact me.  Any memorabilia would also be welcome.  Our goal is to give an inclusive representation of the marque and to develop an exhibit that will allow these cars and their histories to come alive.  Appreciate any help  members provide.
