oldford
If the photo was clearer, we could debate. I'm going to guess that if it is an EMF, It would be more like a 1912, since there appears to be a horizontal line showing the top of the driver's door. Also, the radiator also appears to be body color. If it was an '09, the radiator would have been brass. I'm having a little trouble with the front axle. My EMF has a dip in the center of the front axle and this one appears to be straight. The nameplate on the radiator just doesn't look like the EMF Thirty nameplate. I wish the photo was clearer.... Brass is Best
The Radiator and Radiator Shell remind me of a Rambler.
Leif Holmberg
The radiator script dosen`t look right for an EMF? Radiator shell on Rambler looks wrong to me! How about Oakland 1910 ?. Leif in Sweden
Stude17
I would say 1910 Oakland is spot on Leif.

I assume you are referring to the dark coloured radiator surround and not the actual radiator on Dosmo's photo wheras Leif's photo shows it as brass. How do you know it is not made of brass?
CarlLaFong
All of the brass in Dosmo's photo appear as black. Maybe it is the lighting, maybe the owner had the brass Japanned . BTW, cars of that era did not have radiator surrounds. What showed was the entire radiator
nzcarnerd
I think the idea of a polished brass radiator is a modern thing. Many early cars had them painted to avoid tedious polishing. Brass is Best
Good work Leif! Yes today there are more Brass Era cars with brass radiator shells. Many of them would have been painted originally. But today we like the look of the brass radiator shell.
