Barney Eaton
Did any of these Buick conversions survive? They border on ugly, who made them?
ScarredKnightfan
I don't remember who made them ... nor am I sure any survived. Not my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind checking 1 out in person, at least..... superior1980
I believe the company was Century Coach in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They also did Oldsmobiles in this same manner. Something like ten years ago, one of the Oldsmobile versions appeared on a used car lot in the city of Elgin, Illinois, and I stopped and looked at it simply because the uniqueness attracted me, but I couldn't stomach the ugliness. Someone did buy it though, because for about a year afterwards, it was sitting in a residential driveway near Naperville, Illinois, but has since disappeared. Fleek
Do not know how accurate this article is, but it is where the second picture seems to have come from. Made by Hess and Eisenhardt according to this.http://imcdb.org/vehicle_325893-Buick-LeSabre-Stretched-Limousine-1987.html
