Guest STEVEKR2000
I JUST PURCHASED A 1920 AMERICAN LAFRANCE TYPE 39. ALL FOUR TIRES ARE HOLDING AIR BUT BADLY CRACKED, AND ONE TIRE IS THE WRONG SIZE. A WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE ALL FOUR WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SET OF GOOD USED ONES? THANKS, STEVE (818) 340-4700
edinmass
Somehow I think spending a fortune in in your future. There's not much about the hobby today that is inexpensive, at least the money spent on tires will last a lifetime. If you figure in time, tire cost, tubes, and LABOR, new tires are the best value. When looking at such a vehicle and it needs tires I figure the cost times 2.5 and subtract it from what I am willing to pay. Because by the time you are done, it will be three times more than you thought! Ed.
