model8125
The car belongs to me now and it is a 1929 Model 8125 7 passenger. The picture was taken when previous owner had the car. John
alsancle
John, that took you 5 minutes to respond. Very slow with the identification.
jeff_a
John -- Always good to see a picture of your Peerless! A.J. -- This is the model I was trying to describe to you as one of the more important the company built. I recently learned that forum member Mike West's father had one in New York some years ago, making 7 survivors out of 1,154 built. Also the same engine (12K Continental) as the Model 130 Elcar. I've never seen one, but John has been to a bunch of tours and shows with it in the last few years. In case the model sounds familiar, there was also a Pierce-Arrow 8-125, an Auburn 8-125 and a Marmon 8-125. Did you know this was made in 2-Passenger Coupe form and one survives? jeff_a
John, What's the name of that movie your 8-125 appears in for quite a while -- besides "Looking For Miracles"? Edited December 19, 2016 by jeff_a (see edit history)
model8125
Hi Jeff the movie was a 1990 Canadian production called Lantern Hill. The first 2 to 3 minutes features the Peerless driving through luxurious neighborhoods in Toronto. Some scenes have Trippe lights mounted while the rest have none. The balance of the movie switches to Prince Edward Island. John
