Hi everyone, I have a little mystery. On my dodge d-5 it has the fender shields that are removable. They have little attachment clamps that appear to hold a piece of rubber. Could that rubber be the front fender shields part no 667912,667741. I have no frame of reference since I have have not seen a restored 1937 dodge here in Arizona,

Please let me know

Are you talking about the bottom edge of the inner fender panels? If so , they might have had a dust seal fastened to them that filled in some space from the panel to the frame. My '36 has a piece of thick masticated rubber that rivets to the bottom of each inner panel to fill that gap.

I can't supply a photo as my panels do not currently have the seal. I noticed it on  a panel before I prepped them for paint. The old rubber was mostly gone. You can buy masticated rubber in sheets from several suppliers but it usually is only 1/8 in. thick which would probably work. It was fastened to the panel with split rivets. You would just have to make a pattern to contour to the panel and frame and cut them out as they are probably not available from any parts source.

Zuodar,

Here's a pic of whats left of the shield on my 36. Its connected by nuts and bolts. The rubber measures 1 3/4 inches wide. Raw sheet goods are probably the only way to get there.Very nice looking car you have! I'm looking for a grill guard like on your front bumper, can you help? Steve.
