John_S_in_Penna
The 1958 Lincoln's front fender has a concave feature which a reviewer at the time joked was "pre-dented." At the Hershey car corral one year there was a '58 Lincoln. The concavity was awkward enough that it really did look like something had hit that fender! John_S_in_Penna
Boy, Ford Motor Company was not having a good time in 1958! The Edsel was a failure almost from the start, and the reception of its new 1958 Lincolns was cool as well. Quality was off target for those cars, and therefore so was demand.
