Centurion Posted December 7, 2001 Share Posted December 7, 2001 A friend of mine has a beautiful '58 Super 88 2-door hardtop with the J-2 engine option. It is our understanding that only about 12 '58 Oldsmobiles were equipped with this option. Is any information available as to the breakdown of original J-2 cars by series and body style? Guest Posted December 12, 2001 Share Posted December 12, 2001 The Super 88 convertibles were 3,799 in number out of a total of 88,992 units in '58. I don't have the specific J-2 info although all models were available with the J-2 that year.
