mikewest
Hey Randy , Was this truck restored by a guy named Burr Ripley ? If so I sold it to him aprox. 42 years ago. he manufactured oil filters for antique cars. I think he lived Freeville NY. If its the same truck I sold it to him for $750.00 not running with bad wheels. It had a cab on it when it left Livonia .Mike West Livonia NY Edited November 9, 2016 by mikewest (see edit history)
Guest randysoldcars
Dear Mike, Yes, this is the truck that you sold to Burr. Unfortunately, Burr passed away earlier this year. His daughters asked me to sell it for his Estate. Randy
mikewest
Burr and his wife we wonderful people! He did an amazing job on the truck. When I found it , the truck was in Mendon NY being used seasonally to display flowers and plants for sale at a small nursery . It was quite complete . Back in those days all us "Flippers of old things" used the SWAP SHEET! Burr was very excited to buy it and came right up the same day he read the ad. If they get the asking price , I want more money! smile.... Mike West Edited November 9, 2016 by mikewest (see edit history)
Guest randysoldcars
They were absolute gems! Everyone in the local old car community misses them terribly. Fond memories of the Swap Sheet, and running to the corner store every Wednesday when it came out.
