TerryB
Photos from Manheim PA around 1940. Manheim is well known for flooding on the south of town as these photos show quite well. Might have been a hurricane event. Terry

61polara
And it can still happen today. This wonderful car was at Hershey this year. The Packard rolled into the lagoon at the Hilton Head Concours after receiving a Best in Class award. Was submerged to the roof. http://www.islandpacket.com/cars/article112936628.html
vintagerodshop
I saw that car at Pebble this year. it was very nicely done. A shame for the owners to have gone through the Restoration process and then now have to deal with this mess! I hope the Insurance will cover it. Bill Stoneberg
Any time it rains down here, you see pictures of cars submerged up to the roofs. A few roads have railroad type crossing guards on the to keep the folks who dont know that 6 inches of water across a road, when flowing, can take your car and you downstream in a hurry.
