BlueDevil
I am coming over from another brand (Pierce Arrow) and was just doing some research on a '31 Country Club Coupe. I was trying to find out the engine options (if any) for that car. Thanks in advance. Blue Devil
Bob Engle
You will need to provide the series of the car 56,66, 04 96? If the country club coupe is a correct model that would make it a 96s which has the 344.8 c.i. motor. these 30's buicks had no engine options, they were a standard motor for a given series. All 90 series cars would have the same motor. Bob Engle
DonMicheletti
The 80 and 90 series have the same engine. Virtually nothing will interchange between the engine series other than some acessories.
Bob Engle
1931-1932 Model 86 was a Victoria coupe and the 87 was a 5 passenger sedan. The Country Club Coupe was a 96-S model. The same engine was used in all 89 and 90 series cars. Bob Engle
ILIKECARS53
just to throw my 2 cents in if it is a series 90 it is considered a classic by the ccca
32Buickman
Both 80 and 90 Series are considered classic by CCCA. Slight correction, there was no 89 in 1931, there was 80 series. There are some slight differences with intake manifold and other components between the 1931 and1932 however previously mentioned the 80 and 90 series are interchangeable. nzcarnerd
There is one here - http://www.curbsideclassic.com/curbside-classics-american/curbside-classic-1931-buick-96-country-club-coupe-the-eight-as-buick-built-it/#comment-232220 - which I had to comment on because it has its 'hood irons' (non-functioning of course) mounted incorrectly. 32Buickman
There is another example of a 1931 model 96s on eBay under 1931 Buick for sale. Willis
