1927 D-B info needed

My brother bought a 1927 DB fast four I think, it is a four cyl. and is a big sedan. he is working on it, and was removing the interior, seat and such. he can't figure out how to remove the front seat back. is there trick to to these things? also, any ideas where tofing plug wires an d such?

Maybe bolted to the door pillars?  It will be fixed in place. Front seats at that time were non-adjustable.
