Built 10D, 4th week of October. Plain dash, spare on floor, no dent in vacuum canister.  Someone did a nice job of adding a remote mirror to the passenger’s door. Dual master cylinder has been added.  My 63, built 02E still has the spare on the trunk floor, though. Must have been one of the last mid year changes to mount that under the package tray.  Here’s another one for Jim’s registry.

And a 120 MPH speedometer.  It almost looks like there is a provision to put the spare up under the rear shelf as there is a bump in the fabric where the hook would attach?

We all know that the only engine available for 66 was the cod MW single carb 425.  In the first half of the year, the dual quad could be had as a dealer ordered and installed option.  It wasn't until March I believe that you could order the new code MZ engine which is just a code MW with the dual carb intake setup.  Code MX was used on a V-6 for 66.

This is probably a late october or early november engine build, that someone at the dealer or maybe one of the owners, tried to stamp a Z with a chisel!  It is too large and in the wrong spot.  You can plainly see the correct size W right next to the numbers.

Similar to what was fitted in my ‘63 when I got it. Never really liked it so sold it on for peanuts to someone on here! But kinda sorta wished I kept it as it was quirky! Not a good picture but.
