Part of our first amendment rights - Freedom of Speech.  What our founding Fathers failed to do was put in anything that had to do with common sense or good taste.

Common sense is a misnomer, and there’s no accounting for the divergence of taste

I noticed the wheels and the pipes, figured they would attract comments, but, I figured I would post’em anyway.

One I ran across here in NC ...

1967 Buick - $13500 (Yadkinville)

With correct pattern cloth seats AND cruise control!

I'd almost kill for the cloth seats.

I have never seen a third gen. style overflow tank installed in a second gen. Fits like a factory glove. Dealer install???

Incredible options IMO.

I noticed that too -- does look like it could have been born that way, huh?  Ditto your remark about the cloth inserts.  The original cloth/vinyl had a really classy appearance.  I also like the later sport steering wheel.  I don't know that I'd put one on mine, but I certainly prefer that to some generic Grant or Billet Specialties hack...

The 1967 Riviera looks beautiful. Has anyone seen this car in reality? The vinyl roof looks not original because it sewed on time in the middle of the roof and not on both sides. Whats your opinion about this car? Is it worth taking a closer look and riding 400 miles to see this car? Thanks

I never cease  to be amazed by the "creativeness" some people have . Is this a Ferrari or Lamborgini?  😱👎

The original seat cloth/fabric ($$$) and roof vinyl are available. Original steering wheels pop up often - needing crack repair. I've got a nice spare horn bar you can have.

Straight bumpers are getting very rare and these appear straight?

If he has the original wheels and you're a '67 fanatic it might be right for you.

PWB, thanks for your info. The orginal wheels and the steering wheel are a must in this car, but i am sure i will find some. the biggest concern is the vinyl roof because of the stitching. And yes 1967 would be my favorite year besides the 1966 :).

But i am not in a hurry. The aim is having a vice car for next summer...

Offered For Sale by The California Automobile Museum
1964 Buick Riviera 425 Wildcat Motor
We Offer Financing

This car looks nearly like it did on the showroom floor over 50 years ago! Beautifully optioned personal luxury car designed by Bill Mitchell. Many others followed, but this was the original!

Exterior: Repainted original Goldwood Yellow with styled steel factory wheels. Chrome and brightwork are all there and in excellent condition. Black plate California car.

Interior: Factory equipped with the custom interior series, this one is exceptional. Equipped with power windows, power driver's seat, tilt wheel, power steering and power brakes, remote trunk opener and glide-matic automatic headlight dimmer. Aftermarket oil pressure and temperature gauges are hidden in the ashtray area. Dashboard does have cracks, it's covered with a dash mat. Carpets, seats, armrests and headliner are beautiful! Driver's wing window doesn't open.

Motor and Driveline: Only 2,122 Rivera's came with the 425 ci 360 hp motors with dual four barrel carter carbs, later called the GS. This is a numbers matching car. Motor has been rebuilt and runs great. Electronic ignition has been added. New master cylinder, new steering box and air lift shocks. Posi-Traction rear axle. New exhaust, no resonators.

Rivieras have gained popularity. It's hard to find a factory stock one, one that hasn't been hacked, wacked and bagged. If you've ever thought about owning one, let's talk, I think you'll love this beautiful car!

I'm guessing that these guys watch the auctions and say "That's just like my car."  But they can't see any details so they try to get the same price.  Lost their mind and have no idea where to start looking for it.
