OMG

What good bones!

Looks like an easy restore for a ‘65. Anyone with a shop could triple their investment?

- if I only had any sort of shop...wow

Well I guess our 1964 Riviera will be up for sale, currently getting the original nylon timing chain set replaced, California car, 96k original miles numbers matching. Runs very strong no knocks ticks or smoke. Non AC car, missing some rear interior seat trim, needs drivers side quarter panel repaired as it was hit and I had a body guy look at it , said he could put it on the frame rack and pull it no need to replace it. Originally white but was repainted that Wimbledon blue. It's a driver. Runs, stops, steers very well.

$6500 cash takes her home.

Good day.

For what it’s worth, it’s tough to tell in photos how accurate the repaint colour is, but the colour you may be referring to that Buick used only in ‘64 was called “Wedgewood Blue” ( paint code HH).

Mine is still in the original paint, again tough to get a true a sense in photos, but for me I think this photo represents Wedgewood blue pretty close...

Good luck selling...

Another "civilian" Riviera with the standard deluxe wheel covers and no vinyl roof—they're out there!

Wow - a brand new 1990 Buick!  It will be interesting to see what it sells for.  My issue with these Rivieras is they look too much like a Regal...

My tentative title for the seventh generation cars is One Downsizing Too Many. I do think that Anthony Derhake and team did a fairly amazing job with the 1989 facelift.

Does anyone know why this cream puff is not sold? Save the baby blue.

Sometimes color is enough (I think that's Azure Blue). I know that for many cars I'm interested in, I definitely have a specific color or colors in mind. Other colors aren't even considered.

To my untutored eye, that interior looks really good. The rust underneath gives me pause, but the car is half a century old …

Snow tires included (on Road Wheels, no less...)!  Even so, underside doesn't look as bad as one would expect.  Appears to have been driven sparingly in the winter (and maybe where sand is used rather than salt).

But easily fixed …

… I'm always torn about how to regard something like this. Should I take it as sign that the seller doesn't care or know and I should worry about other things that aren't as easily spotted or should I be happy that it's easily fixed and simply add that replacement cost to the price I'm paying or willing to pay?

Indeed

Im not a fan of the “federal” dash pads but I could see a dark metallic blue paint in place of that baby blue. The deluxe blue interior with floor console would really bring it to pop.

If she was near me I’d be torn!

Numbers matching 64 Riviera, drivers side quarter panel needs attention. Solid bones on her though. Getting a new timing chain now just got it in the mail from Dual Quad Dave. Car had the heavy duty AC option but was outfitted with no AC compressor, Riv Nut ran the vin tag for me. Aluminum radiator. Rebuilt carb. 70's sounding dual exhaust which I haven't heard in such a long time she really does sound mean but mellow. 96k original miles, engine appears to have never been opened up . I had a guy from Tee's auto body come by and look at it and said the quarter panel could be straightened on his rack so it is fixable. California car, and clean clear California title. Minor rust bubbles in a few spots from California, solid floors and trunk, very solid. No play in steering, brakes straight, accelerates strong, doors close like a bank vault. Windows roll up and down. Woodgrain inserts on the inside are getting loose. No smoke, no knock, no tics, she runs out well. Any questions please ask. Thank you.

$6500 o b o  Located in Vegas.

Kind of interesting: the last of the non-personal luxury Rivieras, from the two years when Riviera meant "hardtop version of the Electra 225 sedan."

1962 Willow Mist Poly Buick Electra 225 Riviera sedan with tan/green bench seat and 50,000 miles, offered at no reserve:

This is a nice looking car.  Not many had a vinyl roof.  If I was in the market for a vintage sedan, I would be all over this car.

This is in my dad's home town. I have asked him to look at it for me.

The rust in the rear fenders is of some concern.

You can probably get away with no a/c in Port Townsend, but are yiu sure you want to deal with that in NC?  Not too many options either. Standard interior, no tilt, crank windows, etc.  It appears to be in pretty good shape,  but it's kind of plain for most collectors.  Kind of like going to Gallagher's in NYC and ordering a hamburger.

Thanks for your concerns, Ed. I am still interested though.
