When is the last time you saw a Riviera without a radio?  You got a credit for the radio delete option.

Ed,

im sure you must have a check list for every item for every model!

Must admit I was possibly under whelmed by the condition of everything for an award winner, so missed the radio completely ( cos it wasn’t there)

I did spot the engine colour and air filter snorkel (and the absence of air conditioning)

Gotta get back to work ???????

Silver 65 GS on BAT.

Wrong wheels?

The Gran Sport option came unique wheel covers unless you ordered an optional one.  Most buyers would probably opt for the rally wheel over the stock Gran Sport cover but I imagine that a buyer could opt for the wire wheel cover option.

Here's a picture of that unique 65 only, Gran Sport only standard wheel cover.

The seller needs to re-read the letter he's included.  It says "It was a prototype and the only one built BY US."

Apparently no one else thought that a custom Riviera built by Remke was worth it.  It's not a GM prototype.

He must think he has something. Yesterday's price was $60,000. Today it is listed as $125,000.

up to $57,000!!

7 hours remaining!

The dealer who bought it last month on ebay for $45k should be happy.  Shows the added value of good pictures and some detail work!

I really like the color and it looks to be a fine example.  I would like to know why it has 68 tail light bezels and why the Riviera medallions are missing from the sail panels.  Probably someone's preference but just curious.  Easy to correct if you wanted an authentic example.

Yeah, I noticed that with the countdown.

It looked like it was supposed to end at right around 6:36, or so, and I think it went down to almost 1 minute and then back up to 2 minutes at least seven or eight times there at the end?

There were 2 bidders going for it right at the end and in the "extra" time added to the auction it went from $72K to $84K! I guess when there is a bidding war right at the end "Bring a Trailer" adds time to the auction? Guess it gives people more time to get a bid in, AND, increases their cut too?

What a difference in the way the car shows when the black floor mats are removed so the red carpet ties into the rest of the interior.   No air.  ?

The seller does a really nice job of hyping the car as a '63, noting differences that occurred in 64 and 65, but he's showing the car with what appears to be 67 and later rally wheels.  He also needs a plunger for the windshield washer and the air cleaner is oriented wrong.  But, still a nice looking car (if you live up north.)

Tonado fair game on this forum?

RoA does include a Toronado category at meets.

HOT 68 Toronado! "46K original miles"

The TOA no longer has an association with the ROA and its events.  The last joint event was in St. Charles in 2015.
