“Will provide bill of sale, no title”

Does this mean he does not have the current or previous registration papers?

What issues could this this cause a prospective buyer?

What if they wanted the car shipped overseas.

Just curious,

Rodney 😀😀😀😀😀

And the fact he mentions “Runs good” twice in the ad, does that mean it “runs too good?” 😀😀

Bumper fillers look good on that XX.  The blackwall tires are an interesting look; I'm not sure whether I like it or not...

I noticed that as well.  With the mileage as low as it is, it should be in really nice shape.  I've had two of these XX's, neither had the original trim rings and there's nothing aftermarket that works.  The chrome on the hub caps is plastic mylar and peels and chips easily.  The originals came from the factor with a gold striped US Royal TIger Paw tires.  I'm wondering if Diamond Back can put a gold stripe on a tire for you now?  Surely would add to the looks of the car.  When you see one at and ROA meet, it's either black walls or white side walls; neither as attractive as the original gold stripe.

If any of you ever have and urge to buy an 83 Riviera XX (Twentieth Anniversary Edition) contact me before going to look at it and I'll give you a list of things to look for.  There are many subtle differences between them and the other 83 coupes.  Plus the many unique parts, some of which are inferior to the base Riviera's same part.

There's a black 64 Riviera on Bring a Trailer at no reserve. The wheels and black chrome bumpers are an ... interesting ... choice.

Anyone want to guess where it ends? I say $11,500.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-buick-riviera-9/

I'll say it tops out at $7,000.  Did anyone else notice how closely the Keystone mags fit to the finned drums.  Tires will need replaced as they sound as old as the wheels.  Interesting purchase in the first place - no a/c and tiny only in the windshield.  Electro-cruise but manual windows and seats.  Comments are hilarious.

Edit:  I just went back and looked at the interior pictures. I do not see the Electo-cruise switch.  The car also does not have a tilt wheel.  About as basic as they come.  I just lowered by top bid to $6,500 - if some one is desperate.

OK Riviera People:  As ALWAYS....ya gotta see it in the flesh. Bring a towel to place over the seats  so when you sit in them you don't get armor-all all over your fresh pants.  The comments on the selling site? Don't read 'em because they're not too helpful.

This really isn't that bad. A set of steel rims, whitewalls out and wire caps would really change it's appearance. Exhaust and Bumpers are easily swapped out. No a/c and no power windows could be a BIG plus as they always wind up a pain..   All in all, it could be made very striking with not that much dough spent on it and who knows BUT......it looks like it may have a short punch list 'a things needed to make it a super cruiser, reliable and very road worthy.

I say that if someone can snag this car for  about $7,500 they'd have some wiggle room (another 5 grand) to do improvements and really have a sharp and enjoyable  64 Riv.

I own a 1972 Riviera project car that I will be looking to sell.  I have not listed it on Craigslist nor anywhere else yet because, as noted previously in this post, people who might be interested in it would not know about it.  Is the AACA "Cars For Sale" forum a place to advertise project cars or only restored ones?  (I'm not providing details because I just joined the form and don't want to violate any "blatant commercial" rules.)  I would appreciate any guidance.

There are posted Rules for selling.  You can post to the AACA's general buy/sell forum, the Buick general buy/sell forum, or just like you did here, post directly to the Riviera Owner's forum.  Just post lots of pictures, tell exactly what you have, what price you're asking, and provide good contact information.

Welcome to the forum

Best bet is to advertise it right here in the Riviera Owners Forum and/or the Buick For Sale forum. Even though this forum isn't specifically for advertising, we encourage Riviera specific cars and parts advertisements from private individuals. Include pics, location and preferably asking price.

You could also register and advertise over at V8Buick.com Cars for Sale forum

Hmmm.

Buckets, console shift.  As the ad says, it needs some TLC but for the price it's not bad.  Needs to have the wheel webs repainted and that "protective body side molding" taken off.  The bigger problem with that is that it appears to be one that's riveted on, not a double sided tape deal.  Plus it's painted Riviera Plum.

When is the last time anyone has seen a Riviera Plum with Plum interior and no vinyl top.  Quite picturesque if you've never seen one.
