Chris it sure does look nice. They are coming out of the woodwork lately. Ask wife if you can buy this one too!

lol, I think that might be pushing it just a little too far.  Plus, I don't think I could fit three in the garage!

Hmmm.  Anyone see any signs of this being a GS other than the fender emblems?

No finned valve covers.  Air cleaner is not shown in the pictures (should be a chromed piece like the 63 / 64 pancake piece).  No pictures of the glove box door (GS emblem,) transmission code, or proof of a posi.

‘71 Riviera GS project car needs finishing. $5,000 and bring a trailer. (Wish I was younger or I’d go get it myself)

That looks like an easy way to take your $5k investment and turn it into a $30k+ investment!

I saw this lady's posts about this car on FB. She was soliciting advice as to whether or not she should restore it. I guess she decided to sell instead! :D

Beautiful car in a stunning color, but I don't really like the argent tail panel with this particular color.  I think that he '67 body-color treatment would look better in this case...

Gee, if it was in my driveway, I would learn to live with it. Verra nice ??????

From what I have been told over the years, the white deluxe vinyl interior was not offered at the beginning of the production run but was re-introduced sometime during the model year. It had been offered throughout the 64 model year.  I have seen others and the 65 GS that took best of show at the ROA Kentucy meet was dark blue with the white deluxe interior.  It is a stunning color combo.  A friend of mine has a black 65 GS with the white deluxe interior.

You might be right about that Pat?

Mine is an 04B built '65 and it has the white deluxe interior, from Darwin's articles there were 499, 1.44%, produced.

Then with the flame red at 1056 cars, 3.05%, mine does seem like a pretty rare combo, especially with it being a GS.

Randall, that combo makes yours very desirable.  I wonder how many red on white GS's still exist with the deluxe interior?  I believe the white standard interior was available throughout the model year.

I believe Tom M has a red/white deluxe GS too, that would make two we know of for sure.

Gene Guarnere told me way back that White Deluxe Interior for 65 is rare.

I think he told me that White Deluxe was only available some time into 1965.

Would love to know the actual month that it became available.

If you look at the dealer Color/Trim book you will see that White code was added after publication.

This one was for sale on Hemmings earlier this year, I believe. I tried to contact the seller to notify them they had it posted in the wrong Buick subsection of the site.

I posted it to KREED's thread for his hunt for a 68 GS with Buckets and console.

Not to throw flame on a fire, but the red with white car posted on Ebay also has the steering wheel with the silver bars on each end of the horn bar, and I think I was reading one of Seafoam's posts the other day that said these wheels were on EARLY build cars. I, like you, always thought the white interior came back on late build 65's. Be curious to know for sure; maybe the steering wheel was swapped for some reason.

Mark, It looks like the white deluxe interior is correct, and the horn bar was changed, and, not the only thing that was changed on the car.

I called Gateway and even though their website shows it as sold the car is still there, and Dennis walked out to the car and gave me the numbers off the body tag.

It reads as follows ...

07C

ST 65-49447 FB  276155 BODY

TR 624           YY                 PAINT

      EXT-2KR-3T-4F-5W

With that late of a build date, and that high of a body number, I would guess the white deluxe was available when it was built, and that the horn bar was switched to an earlier one? AND, it looks like it was repainted in "resale red" because it was bamboo cream originally?

Wow, I guess it was. Kinda a shame; I love the red, but Bamboo Cream is pretty awesome too. You don't see a lot of either color

My how times have changed.  This car, sans the wood wheel, is an exact duplicate of the 66 I bought back in 73.  Besides the wood wheel, the only difference is that I only paid $600 for mine. Drove it as my daily driver at for a few years. Don't remember why I sold it.
