Your basic bare bones Riviera.  Standard interior.  No: tilt, a/c, power windows, no power seat. Probably came with the D1, S7, T1 Basic Group 1 options.  D1 - Sonomatic AM radio with manual antenna, S7 - Remote mirror, and T1 - white sidewall tires.  The wheels are from a later model.  Wonder if the seller has the original wheels and wheel covers?

1970 in my area -- I can't explain the asking price...

https://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/d/1970-buick-riviera/6597291930.html

Just drove from buffalo to Syracuse to look at this one as I really want to get older rivs back into the next generation of the family.  Very nice seller who has owned for 38yrs. Car started right up and ran great. Underneath was very clean and interior was very respectful for asking price. Main problem with car was rust bubbles especially under the landau top. Sides of the top had more bubbles then flat metal. Also the body had probably 30-40 quarter size spots all over. Very surprising since the underneath and trunk were so clean. I'm going to pass and tried to convince the owner who had since he was 17 to just keep the car and redo it.  Originally was a gold car.

Not mine but I personally know the car and the owner.  This could be the buy of the century if this is the model you've been looking for.

The seller has relisted this well equipped 85 Riviera and brought the price down to $5,000.  Someone will get a real steal on this one.

Fly into the meet in Overland Park and drive it home.

68 on Ebay

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Buick-Riviera/263759611752?hash=item3d694c4768:g:wHYAAOSw5EdbIrdG

It has the incorrect center caps but it looks like an early production model based on the early deluxe door panel pulls.

It also has the chrome lower body panels, which is cool but can hide rust issues in the doors and fenders.

Listing is woefully short on details though and the starting price is a little high for my liking for such a sparsely written listing.

Yep - particularly since there is no such thing as a Stage 1 1972 Riviera .

I talked to this owner shortly after he bought it last year and told him there was no such thing, I guess he did not believe me since he is still advertising it as a Stage 1?
