Marc
I have a 49 super eight, great car, daily driver,BUT I have been unable to thwart leaking trunk syndrome. I have used new rubber and adjusted the trunk lid and latch.<P>Any ideas? mwilliams6@triad.rr.com
Guest Albert
Have you tried locking yourself in the trunk yet with a flash light and have someone else wash the car? or use a strip of paper as a feeler guage between the rubber and the trunk lid. Guest
Also make sure the leak isn't somewhere around the rear window trim and traveling back into the trunk. I've also put a very bright light in the trunk and shut at nite to see where the light leaks out.
Guest
A final thought: Make sure the leak isn't somewhere in the wheel well or gas filler and water is being drawn into the trunk by throw from tire or trickle down outside of gas filler tube.
