packardreamer
I have a 1926 433 Seven passenger limo with a skinner oil rectifier and I would like to buy one or find any pertinent information regarding the maintenance, repair and operation of these rectifiers. Thanks for your help Barry Lowe 336-516-7009
West Peterson
I'm told it's nearly impossible to find one.
packardreamer
The one on my car looks great on the outside, but I would like to make sure the internals are working as they should. I think you are correct, they are almost nonexistant.
Guest WKnighter
Willys Overland purchased the Skinner company in the mid twenties. The Skinner oil rectifier was an option on 1926 Willys Knights and some Packards. The rectifier became standard equipment on all Willys Knights in 1927. Google "Skinner Oil Rectifier" and you will find a 4 page instruction on maintenance of the rectifier on the Willys Overland Knight website. C Carl
Hey , Barry , I'll bet most of us Nickel Era Car drivers who don't already know your car would love to see pics. Probably most of the other guys would , too. It has always seemed to me that Packards industrial design in the '20s was more sophisticated and interesting than most makes. Conversely , quite a bit of their styling , late 30's seems somewhat conservative to me. Thank you , - Carl

Stately and elegant , in a word : exquisite ! Don't be shy once you get the spares mounted up ! - Carl
