small crack in Model A head

Pulled the head off the "A" today, and when cleaning it up found a small crack in the water jacket near the center of the head. Is this likely to pose any kind of problem in the future.  I doesn't go beyond the picture, and doesn't affect the cylinder area.

thanks,

Tom

By the time you hot tank, repair crack, and surface plane you would have spent more than a new head costs. Call Snyders and get a 5.5:1 new cast iron head for around $300. Better low end torque and you'll never regret it...

I've seen cracks like this on almost every head I've seen I had some in mine too and used it anyway. Make sure that the gasket seals good and use Permatex aviation cement around the stud holes affected by the crack. chances are that you'll never know they're there!
