Cheap way from Philly to Hershey and back?

I'm taking Amtrak up from Charleston, SC to meet some friends... but I have a four hour layover in Philly. Anyone know a cheap way to Hershey from Philly on Wed. and back on Sat.?<BR>thanks,<BR>-shelby

There are a lot of amish in the area. maybe you could get a horse and buggy to take you back to Philly. <P>Really, the only thing I can suggest is renting a car.

On my first trip to Hershey in 1973, I rode the Greyhound down from college. I have seen Greyhound buses on the road, so they are still around. Do they still go through Hershey?

heh, i checked on taking a bus from here and it was going to be like 24 hours or something... i'll check on it from philly. i think i'd rather nap the 4hour layover than to ride in a boncy Amish horse carriage all the way to hershey though

Take the train from Philly to Harrisburg. I think they run 4 or 5 trips a day. Take a bus from Harrisburg to Hershey, take a taxi or rent a car. Harrisburg to Hershey is around 9 miles.

The train definately to Harrisburg then rent a car otherwise you will spend most of your time trying to find a ride.

thx for all of the replies, but i decided to drive to my motherland (kentucky) and ride up w/ my dad and brother... hell, the trip is half the fun (about 20 years ago i was one of those kids being pulled through the mud in a wagon).
