'48 New Yorker headlight issue

Recommended Posts

So my 1948 Chrysler New Yorkers headlights don't come on anymore. They did yesterday.  Lights are good. When I turn switch on the parking lights work. Anyone have any experience with this?  Thanks

You can test the switch and lights with any rudimentary test equipment. If you don't have a Volt/Ohm meter you can use a jumper wire to at least determine if it is the switch or wiring/bulbs. When my car had a similar problem it was the contacts inside the switch so I took it appart and cleaned and tensioned things and now all is bright.

Dimmer switch or headlamp switch..... Push Pull both till you get one that turns the lights on... the one that turns em on is the problem with bad contacts... usually the dimmer switch as already mentioned.
